Transmasc Saint Sebastian Print
I made this upon the half-joking suggestion of a friend, who — after viewing my various pinups and pulp covers — asked why I’d never painted a hot Saint Sebastian.
Well, why indeed? Saint Sebastian is a shoe-in for queer erotica, and has been for centuries! But I’d never seen a trans Saint Sebastian… and I thought that was a shame, considering his imagery and the whole concept of martyrs.
Sebastian is draped in a gossamer trans pride flag, and his top surgery scars are wreathed in golden feathers. Sebastian’s rainbow halo is based on a Brocken Spectre. He holds arrows and a rosary in his left hand.
I find it important to mention that Sebastian survived his ordeal with the arrows.
